Moving Forward The bigger question is this: Does it really make practical sense to purchase a new printer every time you need more ink? The big problem is that ink cartridges contain dangerous plastics that can take over 500 years to decompose at landfill sites so end up causing pollution. If a printer can use a larger cartridge- use that one instead of the lower capacity one and telling the readers how expensive that lower capacity one is.
